Main Activities:

Weigh Master and Procurement Activities

• Ensures all in-coming and out-going trucks are properly weighed.
• Provides the driver with load documentation.
• Inspects all in-coming trailers to ensure it meets food grade qualifications and document inspection.
• For organic grain, verify organic transportation papers.
• Performs office duties and administrative functions, including but not limited to answering phones, checking fax machine, directing calls to the appropriate associates, mail distribution, filing, etc.
• Email Certificate of Analysis (COA) and Bill of Lading (BOL) to customers daily.
• Purchases from farmers and is responsible for managing the transportation to the plant.
• Prepares contracts and logistics scheduling for the purchase of corn and feed.
• Arranges storage of corn when applicable.

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
• Must be detail oriented, motivated and demonstrate initiative.
• Proficient in basic math skills, and the ability to calculate figures and amounts.
• Strong computer (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and data handling skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, organize and prioritize work.
• Ability to interact with vendors, customers, and third parties in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ability to understand the basics of measurements/weights and currency.
